Rev up your engines, because we’re speeding ahead with racing marvel, Enea Bastianini. Born on December 30, 1997, in the picturesque town of Rimini, Italy. This audacious daredevil is everything Tissot stands for – precision, passion, and a touch of playfulness.
Our story begins with Enea, just three years and three months old, perched atop his first minibike. That’s right, three years old! They say you can’t escape destiny, and for Enea, it was the racetrack. He swung from gym bars, leaped off diving boards, but his heart beat for one thing only: the thrill of the ride.
Enea quickly graduated from his minibike, conquering various categories including the Honda HIRP Trophy 100cc, the MiniGP 70cc Italian Championship, and the Honda RS125 Trophy. By 2012, he already had a championship title under his belt. Quite a start, wouldn’t you agree? 2013 saw him roar into fourth place in the Red Bull MotoGP™️ Rookies Cup, and by 2014, he had revved into the Moto3 World Championships, tearing through the finish line to ninth place overall in his season debut.
The years flew by, but Enea’s spirit stayed fierce. He clinched his first race victory at Misano in 2015, and 2020 saw him ascend to the pinnacle – he was crowned Moto2 World Champion.
In a demonstration of the very spirit that characterises Tissot’s 170-year journey, Enea recently showcased
his resilience. Despite suffering a significant crash during the first Tissot Sprint at the Grand Prix of Portimao, which resulted in a broken shoulder blade and caused him to miss subsequent races, Enea’s resolve remains unshaken. His spirit echoes ours; we’ve weathered life’s ups and downs, celebrated victories, learned from losses, and always bounced back stronger. This is the tenacity we see mirrored in Enea – the relentless will to push forward, no matter the obstacles.
